   1) Using OpenRC
    Prepare /etc/candy.d/${foo}.cfg first
    # ln -s /etc/init.d/candy{,.${foo}}
    # rc-update add candy.${foo} default

   2) Using Systemd
    # systemctl enable candy@${foo}
